this black background mermaid painting is inspired by folk art as well as my previous floral collections 😍 From chamomile to peonies to bluebell-type-things to strawberries to sunflowers... well there's just a lot of fun happening here, including brown + gold glitter in the sunflower centers. this painting is designed to remind you that even in the darkest time, good things are blooming. there is always something positive to cling to--a light in the darkness. something to keep you hoping. my son, Henry, says they are like neon signs--shining in the dark 😍
please note that the vibrant colors and also the black are surprisingly hard to photograph!! If you are seeing little white dots or things that don't look right--its just my photography light reflecting off of the black.
