lilies + limes

I hope this painting encourages you to wonder, "what if??"  ...what feels impossible in your life that actually could be possible?  I love to paint whimsical scenes that start by asking "what if..." (for example, what if limes + lilies could coexist in a vase?)  and maybe that's not as major as "what if I finally switched to a job I love" but... what if you did?  what could be possible for you?  all great journeys start with that  simple question.  may this painting be your reminder.

the black backgrounds are designed to remind you that even in the darkest time, good things are blooming.  there is always something positive to cling to--a light in the darkness.  something to keep you hoping.  my son, Henry, says they are like neon signs--shining in the dark 😍

another fun departure, this painting features lilies, peonies + lime plants with my signature bright colors and black background.

This is painted directly on a textured thrifted frame which has been attached to a board and has a fun red + pink stripe thing going on.  This acrylic painting has been varnished and is ready to hang.   This painting is 16.5 x 13.5"

please note that the vibrant colors and also the black are surprisingly hard to photograph!!   If you are seeing little white dots or things that don't look right--its just my photography light reflecting off of the black.
