SOLD OUT: tiny sunnies
this is a teeny-tiny 4" x 6" painting of a vase full of sunflowers, an imaginary pink flower (maybe its like an aster?!), chamomile + featuring the world's tiniest goldfish (TM). The centers of the sunflowers have a little bit of glitter so they don't blend in with the dark black background.
this is kind of like a shadowbox (maybe) that I thrifted this spring. So the top has an oval opening and the back is the painting. its about an inch deep. This acrylic painting has been varnished and is ready to hang but can also stand on its own + be placed on a shelf.
this painting is designed to remind you that even in the darkest time, good things are blooming. there is always something positive to cling to--a light in the darkness. something to keep you hoping. my son, Henry, says they are like neon signs--shining in the dark š
The goldfish is a nod to my mom, who used to keep a beta fish in a vase that had plants growing in it (I believe its called aquaponics) and I started wondering... "what if those were flowers instead?? and a goldfish?"
please note that the vibrant colors and also the black are surprisingly hard to photograph!! If you are seeing little white dots or things that don't look right--its just my photography light reflecting off of the black.
