this painting is designed to remind you that even in the darkest time, good things are blooming. there is always something positive to cling to--a light in the darkness. something to keep you hoping. my son, Henry, says they are like neon signs--shining in the dark š
Loosely based on real-life plants, (anemone, chamomile, + safflower). The goldfish is a callback to my mom--she once had an aquaponic vase setup with a Betta fish named Rocky :) I decided to pretend that a floral bouquet could also sustain the life of an adorbs big-eyed goldfish. I hope you enjoy this sparkling bit of hope!
please note that the vibrant colors and also the black are surprisingly hard to photograph!! They are so much more interesting + nuanced IRL.
