snow falling on oranges
imagine stumbling into a fairy tale full of lush gardens + magical creatures. you come upon a cottage and in the yard are amazing bouquets designed to actually feed the wildlife. this bird has found one such bouquet + is enjoying an orange as the snow falls.
this painting creates a moment of whimsy that can cheer you on + help you embrace your playful side day after day after day.
snow falling on oranges is a part of my "things with feathers" collection: a group of artwork designed to remind you to continue to hope, believe in all of your infinite possibilities, and allow your impossible dreams to take flight.
here we have a 16x16 painting of a folk-y bird perched on a bouquet of flowers + oranges with an orange in its beak. The sides have been painted with oranges + feathers as well. in addition to the most delightful bird, this painting features peonies, safflower + chamomile. the snow has a lil glitter sparkle.
please note that the vibrant colors and also the black are surprisingly hard to photograph!! If you are seeing little white dots or things that don't look right--its just my photography light reflecting off of the black.
