Bay of Silence I (Italy)
I brought this painting to an art festival and it stopped so many people in their tracks: "that looks like the Amalfi coast but with more trees!" they said.
well, its NOT the Amalfi coast, its the Bay of Silence, also in Italy. I found it on a beach cam and it quickly became my muse. Wouldn't you just love to go there? I really didn't make up the details--the old buildings, the tiny lineup of boats on the walkway, the umbrellas, the bridge. Just embellished. you know, as artists do :)
This colorful, vibrant painting is made with watercolor media, pencil, acrylic paint + oil paint. It is painted on board + has a wooden frame measuring 19 x 23". It is wired on the back for hanging.
